I had the pleasure of co-hosting NACDS last weekend with TLC’s What Not to Wear star Stacy London in Palm Beach, Florida. Being that I love to appear in front of an audience (whether it’s live or on TV), I wasn’t nervous at all about coming up with witty conversation on stage with Stacy. Hot Hue Review! HD Hair Color With Rebekah George

On-air beauty and fashion expert, Rebekah George puts Hi-Def hair color to the test, just for you!

Finding the perfect hair color can be tough. It looks one way under the light and a totally different way in broad day light. Well, try finding the right hue that works when going on television is your job and the combination of harsh stage lights, megapixels and mumbo-jumbo TV screens can make even the best dye job look brassier than ten trombones! 

Even if you’re not on the big screen (or the small), we’re all under the microscope these days thanks to hi-def cameras and flip video cameras that pick up every little tone – or lack thereof. Hello? Facebook photos! That’s why I was eager to try Clairol Nice n’ Easy’s new hair color, which claims to pass the HD test – offering dimension, rich tones and multi-tonal highlights. So, I gave the do-it-yourself dye a whirl to see if it really holds up to the scrutiny of high-definition cameras. Not only did its $8 price tag color me happy, but my hair was soft, natural and still vibrant enough to pop on screen. Plus, this single process (code for one-simple step) still gave me high contrasts of colors, which is key to having HD hair. Its conditioning gloss also really helped my color look shellacked – like a shiny new floor.

I say, the combo helps me shine like a star, at least until I’m due for my two month toucher upper!
